Steady start to the season is set to rocket…

I’d say we have had a steady start to our rattan garden furniture season in 2016. Since the turn of the year the weather has not exactly been on our side as far as sitting in the garden is concerned and we have had several cold snaps at the beginning of spring.

To be honest this is probably not such a bad thing for Zebrano Rattan as we have been moving warehousing and implementing a new logistics system which is now fully operational. The quiet start to the season has meant that we have been able to test the system without being at full capacity. Reports from customers tell us that the new system has seen some dramatic increases in efficiency and that all results in lots of happy customers. As our remit is to offer the best quality rattan garden furniture at the best price and with the best service, happy customers are exactly what we aim to have!

All the steady sales are coming to an end and being replaced by rapid sales to go with our rapid delivery service. The sun has finally come out and this always leads to customers turning their attention to their outdoor spaces. It’s very much BBQ season or at the very least it is the start of the BBQ season. What’s the point of a BBQ if you don’t have somewhere to sit, relax, and unwind. What better way to do this than on one of Zebranos, rattan garden furniture suites. So why the increase in sales?

From our point of view the answer to this is two fold, firstly internal factors and secondly external factors. The internal factors are the ones that the management team can take credit for. New product lines, improved manufacturing techniques and quality control, new improved and extended showrooms, new and improved website, new warehouse which has not only increased our storage facilities but also improved our logistics. The list goes on from here but basically the increase in sales coming from the internal factors are born from our desire to improve our offering as each year goes by. Our MD, James Whitely has a passion for garden furniture and a passion to provide a great shopping experience for our customers, whether online or in our showroom. This passion flows down through the staff and although none of us are prefect we do strive for perfection!

The external factors are a little easier to explain. The weather!! The weather has picked up and we are seeing more and more sun in the last couple of weeks. This trend is not only set to carry on but many are predicting that we are soon going to experience a heat wave and better still not just one! The Met Office is predicting a series of heat waves to hit us between now and the end of August. It sounds like we are going to need to crack open the sun tan lotion and slap on the factor 30+. Apparently it is all due to a dramatic northward swing in the jet stream sending scorching air from Africa and the continent our way. I’m sure we will all be complaining about it being too hot when this happens but for now it sure sounds good!
