Maintaining Rattan Garden Furniture Throughout Autumn
As Autumn starts to set in, people will start to use their furniture less and less, so how do you protect your furniture throughout these months?
Well, rattan garden furniture requires little to no maintenance all year round, with autumn being no different. Our rattan garden furniture is crafted using powder coated aluminium framework and HDPE synthetic rattan which is incredibly resistant to rain, and frost.
However, in autumn there are many other factors to consider such as falling leaves and birds migrating, and perhaps leaving you a parting gift on the way. This can create dirt and mess on your set, however, this can be cleaned quickly and easily thanks to the nature of rattan furniture.
Rattan garden furniture is easy to clean and only requires a gentle wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. For trickier bits of dirt that make their way in between the rattan, you could use a soft bristle toothbrush to gently clean out the dirt.
However, if you would like to avoid having to clean your rattan furniture at all and have your furniture ready to use if the sun makes a last-minute appearance in autumn, then we suggest one of our weatherproof covers.
We design weatherproof garden furniture covers to specifically fit each piece in our range. These covers are made using PVC-backed polyester which ensures a fully waterproof finish and treated with a specially formulated Weathertex compound. This means that when it rains, the water will simply bead and repel, keeping your furniture dry and ready-to-use.
All of our covers fasten using handy drawstrings and eyelets which tie to the set and help keep the cover secure over your furniture even in strong winds.
The covers themselves are UV resistant, as well as frost resistant which means they will not fade and will keep their black colour, as well as protecting the furniture from UV rays, frost and snow. This allows you to use your furniture all year round, especially if there is an enjoyable spell of winter sun.
Our covers are not designed to protect the garden furniture cushions and therefore we recommend the cushions are removed before attaching the cover.
