Rattan Buying Guide: Rattan Garden 4 Seater Dining Sets.

History

As part of our rattan buying guides we are looking at the rattan garden four seater dining sets. Again the history dates back some six or seven years when the rattan garden furniture first began to make an impact on the continent. Firstly we saw the arrival of the all weather sofa sets in the restaurants and hotels of Portugal and Spain. These sofas were closely followed by the small four seater dining sets. The all weather rattan was ideal for the climate and also lead to a stunning flowing inside to outside vibe as the sets could be used both indoor and out.

What to look for in a rattan four seater dining set.

We always recommend that you look at the quality of the set before going any further. Whilst there has been a dramatic reduction in the costs of this type of suite over the past few years we would advise caution on sets that come at a very low price. If you want your set to last then we would recommend a good quality set such as the Zebrano rattan garden furniture range.

New for this year

The Amber is this years best buy coming in at a very reasonable £399 for the table and four chairs. At the time of writing you are also eligible for a free parasol! The Amber rattan suite has long clean lines and is a very stylish piece of furniture. The rattan dining table has a thinner top than our standard so if it is for commercial use we would point you toward our Cadiz range. If it is for domestic use the Amber is a sure fire winner and also available in a six seater set.

Contemporary or traditional?

I would say that the majority of the Zebrano Rattan range fits into the contemporary title but if you have a more traditional taste then you should check out the Hamilton weave. The Hamilton is made in a rounded rattan weave but with the same resistance to water and sun light as the flat weave.  The Hamilton weave has several different sets to choose from including the Lyon and the Bordeaux.suite. All are made in the rounded weave giving the suites a classical rattan look. The colour is a much lighter brown which again gives it the appearance of a genuine rattan but with all the benefits of the synthetic rattan.
