Visit Britain to promote 'Bond is Great Britain'
Global James Bond Day, whatever next? Ahead the release of Skyfall, the 23th spy film James Bond, as well as to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the character on 5 November, Britain's national tourism agency VisitBritain launched its biggest ever film tourism campaign to encourage all fans to come to Britain, the home of Bond. Bringing up the slogan “Bond is Great Britain”, the national tourism agency rolled out various campaigns, among others:
- To carry out the first ever film tourism ad which will be shown in cinemas in a number of countries like Australia, Brazil, Germany and the US.
- To spread the campaign through the digital and social media world, including to offer an online experience called “Agent UK” that allow people to complete five online missions. The winner will be granted a luxury trip to the UK on a British Airways Flight.
- To hold a sweepstake competition in each of the 21 markets in which VisitBritain operates and winners will win visits to the UK where they will get the chance to “Live Like Bond”
